Call for Papers – Thematic Collection

Transforming Breast Cancer Care: Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies

Archives of Breast Cancer invites high-quality submissions for a thematic collection highlighting the rapidly expanding role of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies in breast cancer research and clinical practice.

With the integration of AI, digital tools, and innovative technologies, breast cancer care is undergoing a fundamental transformation—from early detection and biological characterization to treatment planning, surgical precision, and outcome prediction. This collection aims to bring together impactful and forward-looking studies that reflect these advances.

We particularly encourage submissions in the following areas:

  • Artificial intelligence in breast imaging, screening, and diagnosis
  • AI-driven decision-making in surgical planning and treatment selection
  • Image-guided and intraoperative technologies
  • Oncoplastic and innovative surgical techniques
  • Evolving strategies in axillary management
  • AI and advanced technologies in basic and translational research (including genomics, digital pathology, and biomarker discovery)
  • Clinical implementation, validation, and real-world applications of AI and emerging technologies

We welcome original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, technical reports, and selected perspective articles.

Submission Deadline: September 30, 2026

Selected articles will be featured in the November 2026 issue of the journal.

A limited number of high-quality submissions may be eligible for APC waivers, subject to editorial evaluation.
